The NPC’s Evidence-Based Therapeutics team discuss the latest bumper edition of the Drug Safety Update Bulletin from the MHRA. This highlights new safety concerns around aliskiren, ACE inhibitors/A2RAs in breastfeeding, NSAIDs and renal function, orlistat as a non-prescription medicine for obesity as well as the use of oral salicylate gels in the under 16s.
